Mandy Dye works alongside the weather, the movement of the earth, and the colours they create. She is an aficionado of the shipping forecast, and a lover of maps of every possible kind.

“ As we live our lives we change our surroundings. Every step we take stays just where it was made in the earth, creating its valleys, its paths, its curves. The sea is untameable, yet water makes up such a great percentage of the human body. The sky is so much of something, and also nothing. Just space.. And everything has colour, and very often not colours that we expect. I love colour, and am fascinated in how it can define what we feel about the world around us “

Mandy works in acrylics, mostly on canvas and canvas or linen board, and on 640gm watercolour paper.
