Linda Dearden

Linda Dearden studied Fine Art at Craven College graduating with a BA (Hons) in 2019. For her series of paintings exhibited at Mill Bridge Gallery, Linda has been inspired by the garden’s colours and the changing seasons.

“We live in a world of colour, indoors and out, which affects our view of life, moods, and feelings, with sunny yellows and golds lifting your spirits”.

Clear and fresh, yellow reflects the suns brilliance on bright days. Green is the colour that dominates the garden. Red including shades of pink and peach and the deeper shades crimson and purple. In the world of flowers blue is the most elusive.
Linda’s inspiration comes from artists Claude Monet, Georgia O’Keefe, Jackson Pollock, and Rachel Ruysch, who have influenced her own unique style of painting which draws the viewer into the palette of colours we associate with each changing season.
