Ken Jaquiery’s sculpture is inspired by nature and the world around him. He enjoys discovering nature’s beauty, and from it brings home new ideas to incorporate into his sculpture.
Ken’s sculptural process uses clay and the coiling method. Coiling is a versatile technique with which he builds strong structures of varied shape and size. The form created is often left unglazed to preserve the natural texture of the piece and the colour which results during the firing process.
Ken feels that sculpture allows the possibility to enhance the beauty of our homes and gardens. Through his sculpture he hopes to become a creator of beauty.
