| Carolyn's artwork involves a process of drawing on screen with a palette created by her photographs. Extracting the structure and form, and adding texture gives a three-dimensional quality to her images.

Inspired by the local area on the edge of the Dales, ‘Lane and Towpath’ are images involving the wild plants and architectural history of a short stretch of ancient lane running alongside the Leeds-Liverpool canal. Framed and mounted limited edition prints combine botanical studies with natural disintegration. ‘Close-Ups’ are intimate, close-cropped portraits of wild and domestic animals, seen whilst walking the lane and towpath. ‘Cathedral Cities’ is an on-going project, looking at the inspiring architecture of our cathedral cities combined with more modern, everyday features to create intriguing images.
